SAYLOE FOR MAC

Translate selected text. Stay with your work.

A short reply shouldn’t require a trip to another browser tab. Sayloe brings a translation preview near the text you select on your Mac.

From selection to a reply you can review

  1. Select a passage. Choose the words you want to read or translate in a supported application.
  2. Trigger your shortcut. Double-tap Command, or use your configured shortcut, to open the nearby preview.
  3. Review both directions. Read the target-language translation and the meaning translated back into your language.
  4. Choose what happens next. Confirm replacement in a supported editable field, or copy the translation to paste yourself.

Copy without losing the basic emphasis

Where supported by the source and engine, Sayloe keeps bold, italic and line breaks and can copy rich text into compatible editors. Plain-text fields strip styling; source font and size can be carried over when captured. Colors, tables and complex layouts are not preserved.

Your original stays yours

Opening a preview does not change your draft. If you want to revise the meaning, close the preview with Esc, edit your original words and translate again.

Selected text is different from a whole page

Sayloe is designed for the passage you deliberately select and trigger. It is not a whole-page, screenshot or document translator. Some applications do not expose readable selections.

Start with free translation

Apple and standard Google translation are free to use. Google LLM and Gemini are upcoming and unavailable in the current beta.
